Breaking Barriers, Building Futures

Beyond Labels is the non-profit arm of Assist Ability Australia, dedicated to supporting people with disability. In partnership with UPPAREL, we provide a unique capacity-building program that develops employment and social skills while promoting textile recycling and sustainability. There is no out-of-pocket cost, and lunch is included. Sessions are held every Tuesday.

Beyond Labels

Beyond Labels is a free day program by Assist Ability Australia and UPPAREL, held every Tuesday. Participants build employability skills, explore sustainability, and connect with a supportive community—all with lunch included. The program focuses on career readiness, environmental impact, and hands-on learning, empowering participants to shape a sustainable future.

We Can Together

We CAN Together is a community-driven day program held every Thursday, focused on growth and meaningful impact. Participants collect cans, with 50% of proceeds supporting local initiatives and the other 50% benefiting program participants. The day includes a basketball session, a complimentary lunch, and empowering activities, fostering connection and empowerment.

Young Autistic Women’s Group

Assist Ability Australia’s Young Autistic Girls Group offers a safe, supportive space for autistic girls to build confidence, social skills, and personal growth. Sessions include creative arts, sensory-friendly workshops, life skills, and community outings. Designed to be low-pressure and neurodiversity-affirming, the program promotes belonging, self-advocacy, and overall well-being.
